Press Operator

InfraHire is looking for a Press Operator in Fort Smith, AR.

Job Description

Set up, operate, and maintain the Offset press following established company guidelines.

Adjust plates, rollers, ink wells, and stock as needed.

Monitor equipment throughout the process to ensure the quality and consistency of the finished product.

Apply chemicals, inks, and cleaning solvents to the press for optimal operation.

Interpret and comprehend tracers, copy sheets, manifest sheets, and other instruction sheets.

Perform cleaning, oiling, greasing, adjustment, repair, and servicing of equipment.

Identify opportunities to minimize spoiled work and enhance productivity.

Adhere to all safety guards and procedures.

Assist in various departmental and plant activities, operating related equipment to facilitate workflow.

Maintain and ensure cleanliness in the work area.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency in printing techniques and Offset printing.

Familiarity with printing operations and adherence to company guidelines and procedures.

Capability to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.

Competence in basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Proficiency in operating all presses and equipment within the designated department.
