President

Albuquerque based holding company is seeking an experienced President to oversee their real estate portfolio management company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing commercial and residential properties, including office buildings, retail shopping centers, and apartments. A solid legal background as it relates to leasing, acquisitions and dispositions is needed for this role. The President will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the real estate portfolio, including final lease review, approving tenant improvements and remodels, approving property maintenance, financing, acquisitions, dispositions of property, insurance, risk management, and the property management staff.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the real estate portfolio management division.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize the value of the portfolio.
• Give a final review of all leases and TI’s, with a keen eye on potential legal issues.
• Oversee portfolio managers. Ensuring property maintenance and improvements.
• Develop and implement financing strategies for new acquisitions and existing properties.
• Oversee the acquisition and disposition of properties.
• Manage insurance and risk management activities.

Requirements:

• Broker’s license and or real estate legal background.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
• 15 years of experience in real estate portfolio management.
• Proven track record of success in managing commercial and residential properties.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
• Involvement in local business organizations
