We are conducting a retained search for a President and CEO of a $6 Billion Indiana based bank preparing for the next phase of growth.This is a tremendous opportunity for someone to come and build upon the bank’s successes to date and build a strong diversified community bank. This bank is looking for an experience President and CEO that can anticipate future trends, communicate a compelling and inspired vision, and lead the bank in making that vision a reality.


Essential Functions:

Bank President Summary

The Bank President is responsible for the overall success of the bank. This includes creating and implementing strategic plans to ensure the bank is profitable and meets customer needs. The Bank President must also oversee a team of bank staff, managing their performance and ensuring they are following bank policies and procedures. The Bank President must also ensure compliance with federal regulations, ensuring the bank is following all the applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, the Bank President must maintain relationships with local customers, business leaders, and government officials to ensure the bank is meeting the needs of its community.

  • Services as principal advisor to the board of directors on all issues associated with community banking.
  • Develops the strategic vision and performance goals required to achieve the bank’s targeted financial results.
  • Works with executives and business unit heads to establish budgets and manage resources
  • Builds relationships with key stakeholders, including the board of directors, key customers, employees, regulators, examiners and other external partners.
  • Ensures a culture of compliance with all applicable banking regulations and bank policies
  • Analyzes financial data and develops reports for the board of directors
  • Identifies growth opportunities and evaluates comprehensive lending and deposit gathering strategies to align with the bank’s overall goals.
  • Builds and maintains a high-performing lending team with coaching and professional development.

Here is what our client requires:

  • Minimum of 15 years of community bank management experience with broad banking exposure
  • Minimum of five years in a President/CEO role in a community bank
  • Experience developing and/or overseeing a community bank with asset size exceeding $3 – 5 billion
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or business administration
