Prepress Specialist

We are currently hiring a Prepress Specialist in our Milwaukee, WI office.

*This is an in-person position*

What is the Prepress Specialist responsible for at Confluence Graphics?

• Primarily print production set up

• Some graphic design

• Ensure that client supplied files for print meets all necessary quality and technical standards

• Conducting pre-flight and troubleshooting of design files for fonts, images, color and printability.

• Ensuring all files meet requirements for the intended print and finishing requirements

• Correcting any artwork issues or communicating changes to client or Production Manager

• Proofing files to clients

• Releasing print ready files to correct printers within deadlines

What experience does a successful Prepress Specialist have?

• File preparation experience for both Offset and Digital Presses preferred

• Proficient in graphic design and communication applications including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and other Adobe products, as well as MS Office

• A strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)

• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills

• Entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed

• Experience excelling within fast-paced, high-energy environments and ability to switch gears quickly

• Ability to maintain deadlines

• Client facing skills

• Must have a sense of humor!

This position reports to the Production Manager.

No weekends!

We are open to both part-time (15-20hrs per week) and full-time (20-35hrs per week) applicants.

We work hard but love to laugh and joke in between. If F-bombs offend you, this is probably not the right place for you. 😊
