Practice Group Administrator - Law Firm - Lower Manhattan, NY
Exciting Practice Group Administrator, for a true powerhouse of a Law Firm, whilst keeping the spirit of a boutique practice.
Here you will join their busy IP and Trademark team, seeing you take responsibility for providing operational and functional oversight to the practice group.
The key areas you will govern include:
Finance/Pricing.
Business and Client development.
Talent Management .
Execution of strategic growth.
Key skills required:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to work independently and proactively, in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to and build credibility and good rapport with lawyers, staff and clients.
Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are required. Aderant Expert, Chrome River and Net Docs experience preferred.
Experience with trademark docketing and USPTO Financial Manager a plus.
Can organize, prioritize, plan, and multi-task to effectively meet deadlines.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Collaborate with partners to develop and execute best administrative practices and strategic plans, ensuring effective communication across the practice group.
Coordinates and processes billing to include processing invoices for vendors, drafting, editing, and preparing pre-bills and final bills per attorney/client specifications and/or guidelines.
Review and verify accuracy of billing and supporting documentation, as required.
Confirms correct rates and any fee arrangements are accurately reflected for each individual matter.
Create quarterly reports and monthly bill accruals for clients.
