About the Position:
The PR & Social Media Marketing Coordinator will be a key asset to the small marketing team, working work closely with the Marketing Director and external PR agencies to develop unique strategies to promote our luxury brand, products, and services. In addition to press-related responsibilities, this position will manage the US social media community, influencer marketing and content strategy, and provide general marketing support to the team on an ad hoc basis. Our ideal candidate is an outgoing creative go-getter, looking to dive in and make an impact on a small but mighty team. Skincare or beauty experience preferred but not required, we are looking for someone with a passion for our products and industry!
Responsibilities:
Manage all day-to-day Public Relations support activities, consistently communicating with external PR agencies to provide guidance and support
Handle editor, celebrity, and influencer gifting in partnership with PR agencies
Support PR/Brand event activations including collaborating with partners/vendors, executing event plans, sourcing relevant partners / materials, supporting PR and media needs during actual event
Consistently build and share PR and social media reports and status updates to present internally
Oversee social media strategy. Develop social media community & content strategy, planning how and where content will be developed (official content from HQ, excisting client accounts, influencer UGC, etc.)
Formalize influencer marketing strategy aligned with brand guidelines
Contribute to company marketing & events calendar, ensuring all team members are up-to-date on brand moments
Develop network of relevant press, stylists, talent managers, celebrities, KOLs, and communities to support marketing and business goals
Partner with team members on cross-functional department requests when needed (creative briefs, global requests, etc.)
Conduct research to analyze competitive landscape, market trends, and customer behavior
Further knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and share best practices, and local marketing ideas and tactics with the team
Experience:
3+ years of proven work experience in the PR or Social Media Marketing field, ideally with beauty, skincare, or luxury brands
Strong written and verbal communication skills to successfully work across various departments and with outside vendors and agencies
Excellent interpersonal skills for representing the brand to editors, during media events and product launches, product demonstrations and while participating at trade shows
Project management experience and time-management skills for juggling numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously
Good computer skills for generating reports, viewing marketing metrics, extracting data and sharing this information with other team members in project updates. Working knowledge of basic computer applications, programs and features is a must
Having the ability to provide information on previous campaigns, projects and timelines overseen and implemented in order to demonstrate overall capabilities.
BS degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications strongly preferred
