PR Manager

Job Overview

As a PR Manager for SKIMS, you will play a crucial role in helping to shape and maintain the brand's public image. You will be responsible for acting as the main liaison between the brand’s global press agency and SKIMS and will assist our press agency in developing and executing effective PR strategies to enhance brand visibility, drive positive media coverage, and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the fashion and entertainment industries, and a proven track record in public relations.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Messaging:

Develop and refine key brand messages to ensure consistency in all communications.

Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to create and distribute compelling press assets, press materials, press releases, and other communication collateral for campaigns, product launches, partnerships, and marketing initiatives.

Event Management & Production

Assist in managing marketing events, collaborating with press agencies, partners, vendors, and creative team on event guest list, gifting, production, and execution.

Press Office Management & Strategy

Manage PR calendar in line with SKIMS brand marketing calendar. Brief PR agency on new projects and initiatives providing clear messaging, direction, and goals. Manage weekly press call and agenda with PR agency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with internal brand marketing team, press agency, and third-party partners including wholesale partners and long-term brand partners to execute strategic and timely PR initiatives.

Reporting

Organize and compile all media coverage, reports, and press hits.

Gifting And Sample Trafficking

Assist internal team and PR agency in PR sample management and media gifting initiatives. Manage incoming sample and gifting requests and facilitate product as needed for editorial shoots, VIP styling, and event dressing. Create reports and recaps of editorial placements and talent in SKIMS.

Qualifications And Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred
• 4+ years of experience in PR or Brand Marketing.
• Proven experience as a PR Manager, preferably within the fashion or entertainment industry.
• Strong relationships with media and press contacts
• Solid understanding of digital, broadcast and print media
• Experience working with multiple agencies and third-party partners at once.
• Experience working with international partners is a plus.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
