Looking for a new opportunity? We are looking to fill the position of Powder Coater II. This role is responsible for a variety of tasks related to painting and preparation. This role is first shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. Starting pay is $22+/hour, dependent on work experience.

SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, sets up, and monitors the operation powder coating production line.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Set up equipment for proper part preparation and application of coating.

Apply powder coating to components on manually operated lines as well as automated booth applications.

Inspects parts continuously to ensure that the metal finishing process is performed in a manner consistent with company standards of quantity and quality. Notifies Leadership of all defect related problems affecting the efficient operation of the powder coating process.

Notifies maintenance and leadership department for any needed maintenance on conveyance, washer, cure oven booth etc.

Inspects equipment prior to start up.

Cleans and maintains equipment for routine maintenance.

Frequently tests finish quality and logs information.

Calibrates test equipment according to schedule.

Performs all duties in a safe manner using all authorized safety equipment and procedures at all times.

May assist in training and development of new and less experienced team members.

Maintains an effective working relationship with co-workers at all times.

Maintains a neat and orderly work area at all times.

May perform a variety of reasonably similar or related duties as instructed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand on concrete floors 100% of the time, with frequent above the shoulder work.

Requires lifting of products up 50 lbs individually and lifting over 50 pounds as an assisted lift with co-workers or mechanical lifts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to high temperatures, approximately 90 to 100 degrees for long periods, 8 hours/day.

When cleaning booth or adding chemicals or adding powder to hopper and washers, respirators are to be worn.

Possible burns near the paint track (near 400 degree oven).
