Mainspring is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Configuration Manager who will focus on supporting Mainspring’s design engineering team. As a PLM Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the configuration and release management activities within the engineering design team’s workflow. Your primary focus will be to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our PLM system, while facilitating seamless collaboration and efficient processes across various teams. Core responsibilities will include the following.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer aspects of the PLM system, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and availability.
• Define and enforce PLM configuration management processes and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including engineering, technical program management, and supply chain) to understand their configuration needs and ensure compliance.
• Design and implement PLM workflows.
• Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy and completeness of PLM data and configurations.
• Coordinate and manage the release of product configurations and associated documentation.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including configuration management plans, change control procedures, and user guides.
• Provide training and support to end-users on PLM system functionality and best practices.
• Eventually, build a team of PLM Analysts to help maintain the systems as the company grows.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a PLM Configuration Manager or in a similar role with a focus on design engineering support.
• Experience architecting process within an engineering group.
• Expertise in working with Enovia or similar PLM software systems.
• Experience building and managing complex spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with Solidworks and data management integration.
• Experience using Quickbase is a plus.
  
  

The Bay Area salary for this role is $139k-$164k base + pre-IPO stock options + benefits. This position is remote. The salary will be adjusted based on the experience and location of the employee.

New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
