Platform Operations Administrator (Remote)

The IS Platform Operations Administrator is responsible for maintenance and administration of assigned applications and platforms company infrastructure platforms and capabilities. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of solutions and business processes related to implementing platform capabilities and system administration support. The position will report directly to the IS Platform Operations Supervisor.

  • Successful candidates should live within driving distance to a Marco office. Position is eligible to work full-remote but has option to be hybrid or in-office, depending on candidate preference.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Administer Marco platforms and system:
    • Ensure we are meeting SOC and other security requirements.
    • Follow and maintain data security policies and practices.
    • Administer and maintain SQL databases performance and management.
    • Tune and increase performance across all critical systems.
  • Actively participate in system security initiatives.
  • Validate and/or develop documentation for internal development projects.
  • Participate and/or lead new system application and platform deployments.
  • Possess general knowledge and background with servers and infrastructure.
  • Maintain knowledge of developments in the area of systems and hardware to assure that new developments are incorporated in future systems of the company.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network.
  • Work with business analyst team on requirements review and test case modeling.
  • Follow development practices according to Marco requirements and industry standards.
  • Ensure change management is being followed and documented.
  • Maintain knowledge of developments in the area of systems and hardware to assure that new developments are incorporated in future systems of the company.
  • Attend required company and departmental meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and six years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current high level industry recognized certifications including one or more of the following: MTA, MCSA or MCSE preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Solid understanding of routing and switching.
  • Experience with and advanced understanding of MS SQL, query tools, Microsoft development platforms.
  • Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as MS Office applications and Visio.
  • Superior communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relations among all levels of an organization.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time/task management skills.
  • Ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Self-starter with the ability to perform with little or no supervision.
  • Function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, client orientated team.
