Plant Manager

A great UHY client is seeking a Plant Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent Technical discipline, a minimum of 7 years’ experience in manufacturing operations including 5 years in a leadership role, and an expertise in LEAN philosophy.

The Plant Manager role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.

Plant Manager Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and increase operational efficiency.
• Lead activities of the business functions such as Production Operations, Materials, Quality, Facilities, Maintenance, Process Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety and Administration
• Effectively use policy deployment to ensure alignment of department goals and activities with organizational goals
• Develop and manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resources to achieve financial targets.
• Coach and review performance of direct reports
• Promote and enforce a culture of safety and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a strong working relationship with Union representatives

Plant Manager Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent Technical discipline is required. MBA is a plus
• Minimum of 7years’ experience in manufacturing operations is required and a minimum of five years in a manufacturing plant operations leadership role.
• Must be able to demonstrate the use of process improvement techniques in manufacturing and the production process
• Expertise in LEAN philosophy and application of tools to lead the work team in performance
• Experience working with Unions
