Plant Manager
Plant Manager - Nutraceutical/Supplement Manufacturing Experience is a must.
Job is Onsite - Multiple Locations - FL, CA & NY Tri State.
The Plant Manager will oversee all operations at our manufacturing facility, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, strategic planning, warehousing, manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and sanitation for production sites ranging from 40,000 sq. ft. to 70,000 sq. ft. and between 80 & 180 employees depending on the site location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tactical and strategic direction for the plant.
- Develop and implement plant vision and strategy; prioritize projects and strategies; ensure alignment of functional groups.
- Directly manage plant leadership team, including hiring, development, promotions, reviews, and coaching.
- Mentor and develop staff through coaching, development, reviews, and feedback.
- Make key decisions regarding budget development, control, and tracking.
- Collaborate with R&D leadership on product and project alignment and crisis management.
- Serve as a key member of the corporate leadership team, contributing to supply chain strategy decisions.
- Interact with cross-functional headquarters groups (distribution, finance, QRO, engineering).
- Make decisions on plant capital investment plans.
- Support other plant managers with benchmarking and process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong manufacturing and business leadership skills.
- Understanding of relevant regulations such as FDA, USDA, and any applicable international standards.
- Expertise in strategic planning and vision creation.
- Proven ability in direct and indirect people management and development.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership presence and presentation abilities.
- Skilled in cross-functional coordination and influence management.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in progressive manufacturing/operational roles.
- 5+ years of plant management experience.
