A leader in the capital equipment manufacturing industry is looking for a self-starter and result oriented plant manager to lead our manufacturing facility in DFW area to meet business objectives. The successful candidate will be accountable for all aspects of plant performance; and will ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner and in compliance with the company’s quality requirements. Due to the nature of the job, a plant manager must be physically able to sit, stand and walk around for long periods at a time.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
Plant management and coordination of daily activities to ensure high production throughput.
Optimize workflows to increase productivity and enhance performance
Develop production schedules for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
Verify products are manufactured in accordance with specified requirements.
On-time product deliveries.
Responsible for and maintaining labor costs.
Prepare, analyze, and submit production and performance reports
Implements lean manufacturing techniques.
Analyze production metrics and data to determine areas of improvement.
Ensure that the Quality Policy, Procedures and High Standards of Workmanship are maintained.
Ensure all legal requirements, company safety procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations are met
Oversee all shipments, incoming inventory, and storage operations
Assist in recruitment, training, discipline, layoff, termination, rate changes, performance reviews and job appraisals.
Practice conflict resolution among departments and employees
REQUIREMENTS:
10 years plant management experience in a manufacturing environment, able to supervise multiple teams.
In depth knowledge of manufacturing workflow, hands experience with production scheduling.
Strong background and working knowledge in CNC machining, steel fabrication, assembly, and electrical components to produce the final product.
Proficient with computer software in the areas of capacity planning, ERP/MRP, scheduling, utilization, inventory control, and product costing.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Self-motivated with strong work ethics and a Can-Do attitude.
Team player, good interpersonal and written communication skills.
Good understanding of regulatory requirements for operating plants
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial and/or manufacturing engineering.
Throughput and lean manufacturing process techniques.
Experience With ISO 9001 And/or Other Quality Assurance Programs.
Spanish / English bilingual is a plus.
