Key Responsibilities:
Team Development: Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team, creating a collaborative and positive work environment.
Training & Standards: Implement training programs that adhere to quality, safety and operational standards.
Problem-Solving: Manage the plant effectively, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills in challenging labor conditions.
Efficiency & Productivity: Develop and implement strategies to boost efficiency and productivity.
Strategic Sourcing: Develop a feedstock supply chain by strategically sourcing and negotiating to ensure the achievement of the company’s objectives.
Market Adaptation: Analyze market demands and adjust production and inventory levels accordingly.
Flexible Operations System: Create and maintain an adaptable operations system responsive to market changes.
Material Usage Optimization: Implement a raw materials sortation system to optimize usage and efficiency.
Budget Control: Manage plant budgets and control costs.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial reports and implement cost-saving measures.
Resource Efficiency: Ensure efficient use of resources and materials.
Operational Involvement: Be actively involved on the plant floor to resolve issues.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in plastics manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in food packaging, water bottles, automotive parts, or products using recycled resins is highly desirable.
Operational Strategy: Strong knowledge of operational strategy and quality control.
Market & Sourcing Knowledge: Proven experience in securing raw materials at optimal prices and understanding market demands.
Labor Management: Experience managing a plant in challenging labor conditions.
Hands-On Approach: Willingness to be on the plant floor and resolve problems.
System Implementation: Prior experience in setting up a raw materials sortation system is a plus.
