Arclin Surfaces, LLC is currently seeking talent for a Plant Engineering Manager at our new Dillon, SC location.

This role resides in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is responsible for developing, evaluating, and continuously improving manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilities.

• Responsible for plant capital, facilities and equipment that will achieve desired result in a cost-efficient manner.
• Responsible and accountable for leading, managing, and giving guidance to maintenance department with set goals and objectives directed towards achieving plant KPI’s.
  
  

This role reports to the Plant Manager and works closely with the Maintenance Team, Maintenance Manager, Process Control Technician, Operations Manager, and Process Engineers in an effort to meet safety, quality, and long-term profitability of the facility.

Plant Engineering Manager, Job Responsibilities

• Apply principles of mass, momentum and heat transfer to process and equipment design, including conceptual, scheme, and detail design.
• Provide technical advice on plant operations and improvements. Prepares engineering analysis of projects that includes preliminary design, detailed design, project cost analysis, life cycle cost analysis and equipment selection.
• Owner and accountable for all plant assets.
• Creating and maintaining of plant level preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance systems.
• Function as a project manager for various capital projects at plant level.
• Communicates with internal and external customers and contractors to ensure project plans and work in progress will meet desired outcomes.
• Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Responsible for controlling, tracking and reporting spending of the overall capital budget.
• Responsible for controlling, tracking and reporting spending of the overall maintenance budget.
• Provides full cycle performance management support for direct reports under Plant Maintenance department.
• Setting objectives, coaching and monitoring work in progress, coaching for career direction and skill development, providing formal feedback and recognition, communicating overall departmental and function strategic direction and progress against plans.
• Removes barriers, gains access to resources and prioritizes the work of team members.
• Management Representative for the PSM (Process Safety Management) program and is responsible for its implementation and maintenance.
  
  

Plant Engineering Manager Job Requirements

• B.S. in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
  
  

OR

• 7+ years of plant maintenance/engineering/project engineering experience.
• Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility.
• On-call for manufacturing related issues.
  
  

Preferred

• Experience working with continuous and batch processes; Paper, Tissue, Non-Woven, Coating, Engineered Wood/Panels, Printing, or Chemical processes a plus.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black belt.
