Reports to: Business Unit Director

Job Summary: TACO Metals, a proud member of the Patrick Industries family, is seeking a Plant Controller to join our growing team in Sparta, TN. As an integral part of our Finance/Accounting Department, the Plant Controller will oversee, lead, and coordinate accounting, financial reporting, financial management, and budgeting efforts to support our facility's expanding operations.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Supervise the Accounting Staff.
• Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) function to ensure vendor invoices are processed and paid within terms.
• Oversee the Accounts Receivable (AR) function to ensure customers pay within terms.
• Conduct balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Adhere to Corporate’s close schedule.
• Ensure proper inventory valuation by running PPV, job variance, and overhead absorption reports.
• Prepare monthly financial reports.
• Report variances from the budget and address issues with management and Corporate.
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Track and manage capital expenditures.
• Collaborate with HR, Purchasing, Sales, and other business and operational disciplines.
  
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of Accounting/Finance experience.
• Prior experience in manufacturing and cost accounting is highly desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of working effectively with a diverse range of personnel from hourly employees to senior management.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong accountability and follow-through skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• High level of personal integrity, including confidence, honesty, and respect.
