Pipefitter - Manufacturing

Job Description

Environmental Air Systems is one of the leading industrial HVAC engineering, manufacturing, and construction companies in the southeastern United States. We are growing rapidly and seeking skilled Pipefitters to join our Final Assembly department in our manufacturing plant in Browns Summit, North Carolina.

SCHEDULE:

• 1st shift: 6:00am-4:30pm
  
  

LOCATION:

• Reedy Form Manufacturing Facility in Browns Summit
  
  

PIPEFITTER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install industrial piping systems: chill water, hot water, steam, condensate, and condensed water
• Read blueprints and submittals
• Fabricate pipe supports and spool copper lines
• Work independently and problem solve
• Repair, cap, and test all types of plumbing piping
• Instruct plumbing helpers under your supervision
• Practice all safety procedures
• Hold license to operate equipment necessary for the role
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years pipefitter experience preferred
• Ownership of pipefitter hand tools
• Knowledge of pipefitter equipment, power tools, and fabrication methods
• Knowledge of different types of pipe, valves, fittings, and their functions
• General knowledge of code requirements and limitations
• Knowledge of occupational hazards, including ladders
  
  

EDUCATION:

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
• Rigging knowledge preferred
  
  

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIAL SKILLS:

• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work minimum 40 plus hours per week
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift
• Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
