Position Summary
Reporting tothe Shipping Manager,the PickerPackerwillberesponsible forthe picking, packing, taping,labeling,sortingand manual lifting of boxes. This position fulfillscustomerorders and prepares them for shipping byusinghand tools such as box cutter, tape dispensers, andscan guns. This position ensures company shipping goals are met andmaintainscompany standards for efficiency, accuracy,safetyand security.
PositionResponsibilities
Perform assigned duties such as pickingproductsfrom bulk orders and segregatingthem to pallets.
Ensures product boxed isaccurateaccording to customer order.
Perform basic visual quality inspection on product.
Timely report defective product and or questionable product to department supervisor.
Placescompletedboxed product on pallets and prepares for shipping.
Ensures product is properly stacked on pallet with label information properly displayed.
Clean warehouse using brooms, mops,dustersand other cleaning equipment as needed
Maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness
Responsible for understanding andcomplying withapplicable safety,qualityand environmental regulations
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate
Ability to workanyshift, overtimeand weekends isrequired
Self-motivatedwith excellentattention to detail
Knowledge and/or understanding of the following programs and regulationspertaining toa food processing plant:
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
Food Safety
Mustpossessbasic reading, writing and mathematical skills
Required towear proper personal protective equipment (PPE)at all times
Required to stand and/or walk up to 90% of the workday
Required tocomply withCompany Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Required to lift and move up to50lbs.poundsfrequently
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well with others
The pay for this role in the state ofCAis$17.30/hrand is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location.
