, Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer physical therapy assistant services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist.
  • Perform physical therapy assistant treatment following the resident’s established plan of care which includes short and long-term goals, resident goals, and discharge planning.
  • Complete accurate and appropriate daily billing in Optima HCS.
  • Document resident progress in daily treatment encounter notes, weekly progress reports, recertification documentation, and discharge summaries in Optima HCS.
  • Provide ongoing treatment to residents using the most current techniques following appropriate physician orders, APTA guidelines, and the state practice act’s code of conduct/standards.
  • Participate in facility care plan meetings, weekly rehab team meeting, company webinars, and interdisciplinary team trainings/conferences.

, Qualifications

  • Physical Therapy Assistant requires a degree from an APTA approved program.
  • Therapist must hold a valid PTA license in Maryland.
