, Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer physical therapy assistant services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist.
Perform physical therapy assistant treatment following the resident’s established plan of care which includes short and long-term goals, resident goals, and discharge planning.
Complete accurate and appropriate daily billing in Optima HCS.
Document resident progress in daily treatment encounter notes, weekly progress reports, recertification documentation, and discharge summaries in Optima HCS.
Provide ongoing treatment to residents using the most current techniques following appropriate physician orders, APTA guidelines, and the state practice act’s code of conduct/standards.
Participate in facility care plan meetings, weekly rehab team meeting, company webinars, and interdisciplinary team trainings/conferences.
, Qualifications
Physical Therapy Assistant requires a degree from an APTA approved program.
Therapist must hold a valid PTA license in Maryland.
