The Photography Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Creative Services and will need to work 3 days per week in our company headquarters in Winston-Salem, N.C. Manages the planning and execution of ecommerce photography, ranging from Product Detail Page (PDP) photography, other digital assets (video, still life, lifestyle, 3D hollows, etc.). This position will interface with our Ecommerce, Brand, Product Teams as well as Merchandising, photography vendors, models/stylists/creative agencies. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, positive, highly professional computer, color, and imaging expert.

Responsibilities

  • Works in tandem with Sr. Manager, Creative Services, Brand, Product and Ecommerce teams in the development and execution of photography needs.
  • Ensure photography is brand-right and delivers a consistent look and feel.
  • Secures hair and makeup and model talent for photoshoots including negotiating rates and fees.
  • Maintain on-set workflow ensuring completion of daily production requirements for ecommerce photography including prep and post-production.
  • Serves as photographer’s second eye to ensure all imagery meets brand standards.
  • Owns post-production select and approval processes.
  • Supervises retouching process – image mark-up, auditing, and approval.
  • Ensures all assets are uploaded to the Digital Asset Management system and are syndicated as needed.
  • Partner with photography team and Senior Manager, Creative Services to find efficiencies and improve workflows and processes.
  • Actively assist in the development and implementation of video capabilities in studio.
  • Identify opportunities and implement testing to increase technical output and operations.
  • Creates metadata input forms for Digital Asset Management system.
  • Organizes and tags samples for all shoots and retouching needs.
  • Monitors project status to meet critical timelines.
  • Experience executing photography within the allotted budget.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and challenge the status quo while continuing to focus on expanding creative and technical expertise in the industry that would be beneficial to HBI's growth.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are daily, and the volume of work is high. The pace should thrill you, not derail you.
  • Candidate must provide relevant samples and/or an online portfolio.
  • Other duties as identified and assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum Education/ Experience: Bachelor's degree with 2+ years relevant work experience; 4+ years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred Education/ Experience:Master's degree with 1+ relevant work experience
  • Intermediate knowledge in computer design/editing software packages: Adobe Creative Suites (emphasis on PhotoShop and Bridge) and Acrobat Professional.
  • Familiar with sample management software solutions such as Shot Flow or Workhorse is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Must be Mac proficient.
  • Strong, compelling portfolio (featuring work in the apparel industry).


Job Specific Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of photography process—digital cameras/equipment, lighting, metadata.
  • Related experience working with model, stylist and photography agencies.
  • Expertise in retouching/recoloring.
  • Proven strong project and time management experience and high level of organization and multi-project workflow coordination.
  • Ability to supervise internal/external employees.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • A positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to master and learn processes and platforms quickly.
