The Alpinestars Creative Communications Team leads all aspects of advertising and marketing to ensure best in class, innovative and inspired communications media and materials to our consumers and industry.


As our Photo Retoucher your role is to achieve our desired brand aesthetic through high-quality e-commerce and lifestyle imagery retouching. This includes tasks like color correction, lifestyle retouching, and e-commerce product image production, ensuring consistency with our brand vision across all platforms.


This position is on-site in Torrance, CA, Monday through Friday, and reports to the Art Director. Resumes will not be considered without accompanying portfolio.


Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in retouching a wide variety of imagery for both digital and print
  • Contribute to the quality control process by identifying and flagging any potential issues in retouched images
  • Assist with image organization and file management
  • Assist with e-commerce product image production tasks, ensuring consistent lighting, color and cleanliness that reflects the brand aesthetic across all product presentations
  • Ability to accurately match product color across various life cycles of imagery
  • Assist photographer with studio photoshoots
  • Assist with any other Art Dept need (photoshoots at locations, post-production work) as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Graphic Design, or related field preferred
  • You have at least 2+ years of experience in photo retouching role
  • Strong knowledge of retouching techniques with foundations in color correction
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture 1
  • Stay up to date with Adobe Photoshop techniques and best practices, and the latest trends in ever-evolving digital asset creation
  • Familiarity with digital asset management systems or software
  • Excellent organizations skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of studio photography and lighting practices, as well as photographic vocabulary and terms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
