Summary: The Photo Research Intern will help with images for multiple book projects from start to finish. The Photo Research Intern will work closely with Photo editors to ensure the execution of the project deliverable. This role is located at 34th and Park Ave, NY, NY 10016. You are required to be in the office 5 days a week. We are unable to complete any relocation requests.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather comprehensive photo research.
  • Maintain a clear and organized archive for each book
  • Support to Clear rights and permissions for all images
  • Support to Clear rights with artists and models, as necessary
  • Acquire and manage high-resolution files
  • Draft credits and acknowledgements

Requirements:

  • Strong visual, communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Attention to schedules and deadlines.
  • Experience in Excel and the Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge)
  • High-level familiarity with fine arts and artists, photographers, film, social culture and subjects pertaining to Assouline’ s publishing list.
  • Strong research skills –knowledge of varied image sources (stock agencies, museums, artist’s catalogs, archives, historical societies)
  • Able to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Must have knowledge in subjects ranging from fashion, design, and art; to travel and lifestyle.
