Shriners Children’s is seeking a full-time position as our second Development Data and Reporting Analyst on the Prospect Research and Management team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Prospect and Donor Research, the Development Data and Reporting Analyst is responsible for developing and reporting on metrics using Blackbaud CRM and third-party applications. The position will actively collaborate with the current PRM data analyst and database users across the healthcare system to best develop and optimize CRM reports to better evaluate office, campaign, and fundraiser performance. The position will work in sync with the Blackbaud CRM team to extract, validate, and present donor and donor pipeline information that reports donor relations efforts from every perspective to enhance leadership’s decision making and analytical capability.

This position is eligible for fully remote status. If the candidate is based in the Tampa, FL area, the position will be hybrid with a mix of remote and onsite work.

Business Application Reporting (25%)

  • Partners with Senior Director and the CRM team to design and implement reports, dashboards, and other data projects related to fundraising performance and key metrics for various internal audiences.
  • Provides data and visualizations needed for strategic fundraising through report building, benchmarking, ad-hoc requests, and other related Office of Philanthropy data/reporting requests
  • Recommends improvements to and optimization suggestions for existing reporting practices to increase transparency and efficient data-driven decision making.


Information Analysis (25%)

  • Identifies and interprets key drivers of success and recommends insights for accurate and well-designed reports in support of the Office of Philanthropy’s goals.
  • Supports pipeline growth and sustainable fundraising through in-house and vendor data analysis, for example, DonorSearch’s AI modeling scores.
  • Provides strategic, ad-hoc analysis as requested. Serves as a subject matter expert on recommending and delivering streamlined data solutions.


Office of Philanthropy Support (30%)

  • Acts as a liaison between the PRM team and the Office of Philanthropy in the development of PRM-related reporting, evaluation, and implementation of technology tools.
  • Supports PRM-related data projects between Blackbaud CRM and other sources to ensure accuracy in reporting and analysis, for example, wealth screening using tools that integrate with BBCRM.
  • Creates processes for PRM-related data integrity checks around reporting data and works with Office of Philanthropy partners to audit and solve data-related issues.
  • Creates and maintains documentation of business rules specific to PRM-related processes.
  • Responds to and completes data requests for analysis in a timely manner, ensuring the Senior Director and the requester are informed of request status, including any changes to the deliverable and the due date.
  • Adheres to ethical and confidentiality guidelines of Shriners Children’s, HIPAA, and Apra at all times.


Special Projects (15%)

  • PRM-related special projects as assigned by Senior Director or Office of Philanthropy leadership, for example, the Nobles and SI Ladies.


Professional Development (5%)

  • Remain current and knowledgeable in prospect development news, best practices, and trends to improve the PRM team’s offerings and approaches, and deliverables.
  • As budget and time allow, attend Apra, AHP, AASP, etc. webinars and other professional development opportunities.


Experience

  • Proficiency in extracting, cleaning, analyzing, and synthesizing findings from data sets required
  • Experience using CRM systems to store, manage, and report data required
  • Experience with creating Power BI reports and dashboard required
  • Working knowledge of relational database architectures required
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office products suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros, VLOOKUP, etc.) required
  • Experience in prospect research, prospect management, or data analysis, ideally in a mission-driven, philanthropically supported non-profit preferred
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency using specialized data sources such as iWave, DonorSearch, and LexisNexis relevant to fundraising preferred
  • Excellent organization and analytical skills, responsiveness, and attention to detail required
  • Understanding of industry best practices and demonstrated ethical compliance as defined by Apra preferred
  • Ability to function effectively as a member of a team, ensuring close coordination and assimilation with other staff members required
