Remote Pharmacy Technician

Pride Health is hiring for multiple Remote Pharmacy Technician openings to support our client’s pharmacy fulfillment project.

This is a Fully Remote opportunity, but the candidate should be based out of one of the following states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Iowa, and Kansas.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: 6-month contract (project based)
  • Pay range: $18 - $21 per hour (Based on experience, credentialing, and location).
  • Training Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm – 4-week duration. May be subject to change.
  • Schedule:
  • Shift after training is an 8-hour shift with an hour lunch.
  • Workers must be available as early as 5 am and as late as midnight.
  • 5 days a week which may or may not include weekend coverage.
  • Overtime and Holidays as needed.

Job Duties:

  • Primarily answering prior authorization inquiry calls/requests with customer service as well as researching and resolving formulary and benefits issues using the appropriate reference material.
  • Process member prescriptions or prior authorizations through various computer systems ensuring the accuracy of all data and updating as necessary
  • Using established criteria and guidelines, the pharmacy technician receives, and processes prior authorization requests made by providers and members for medications not inherently covered on a member's prescription drug plan.
  • Resolve issues and complaints promptly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Handles inbound phone requests and gathers member data to provide information for Pharmacist consultations.
  • Safety is paramount and employees need to have a safe and secure workspace and communicate with their leadership when that safety (equipment, system, information) is compromised.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensure/Certification Requirement: Active National or State Board Pharmacy Technician Licensure through
  • Pharmacy Technicians Certification Board (PTCB)
  • State Board of Pharmacy Licensure in state of residence
  • A private and secure space to work from home with a hard-wired ethernet cord is required.
  • Must be a permanent resident in one of the following states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Iowa, and Kansas.
