2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Active Pharmacy Technician certification / license
Strong experience with prior authorizations
Experience with inbound/ outbound calls
Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
Reliable Wi-Fi to work from home
Plusses (but NOT required):
Experience with Cisco Finesse phone system
Overview:
As a Prior Authorization Coordinator / Pharmacy Technician on the Prior Authorization team, you will be working through an intake queue to perform data entry for faxed in prior authorization requests, as well as handling phone calls from pharmacies and providers to answer prior authorization questions.
This is a call center (work from home) environment, so you will be handling phone calls, however, most of the work will be data entry / faxing related.
Responsibilities:
Initiating prior authorizations
Assisting with processing claims
Reviewing prior authorizations against set of provided guidelines for approval
If unable to approve, try to contact via fax for approval and if denied, send to pharmacist for review
Compensation:
$20/hr to $23.50/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
