Job Description
As an Associate Director of Pharmaceutical Sourcing and Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing strategic sourcing, procurement, and contracting efforts. This challenging yet rewarding position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S., allowing you to tackle important responsibilities and grow your career.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and execute category management strategies, conduct sourcing events, and manage supplier relationships.
Lead negotiations of supplier contracts including Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Provide strategic advice to stakeholders on supplier and sourcing strategies to optimize enterprise leverage.
Negotiate rates, service level agreements, and other contractual terms to maximize value and mitigate risks.
Collaborate with internal teams such as legal, finance, and risk management to ensure compliance and achieve business objectives.
Contribute to annual cost reduction plans and initiatives, driving efficiencies and innovation in supplier partnerships.
Conduct market research, spend analysis, and participate in supplier performance reviews.
Foster diversity in supplier sourcing opportunities and manage supplier risk through effective contracting.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in healthcare operations or clinical settings.
5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
3+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement, with a strong background in negotiating and influencing stakeholders.
Solid analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Ariba and/or PeopleSoft.
Proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and analysis (Microsoft Excel).
