Purpose
The purpose of the Performance Training Coach (PTC) position is to enhance the overall wellness of Upper School and Middle School students, and support the mission, philosophy, and operations of the Athletic Department and Pine Crest School.

Education
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience And Qualifications
Minimum 3 years’ experience in playing or coaching organized sports
Certifications and Licenses
CDL license preferred
The purpose of the Performance Training Coach (PTC) position is to enhance the overall wellness of Upper School and Middle School students, and support the mission, philosophy, and operations of the Athletic Department and Pine Crest School.
Essential Job Functions
- Supports the School’s mission statement and the philosophy of the department and adheres to School policies and procedures, including but not limited to what is outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Plans curriculum, teaches, and works with students individually, and in small and large group settings
- Instructs on proper fundamentals and techniques in areas relating to the coach’s specific area of expertise (e.g. rowing coaches will teach and instruct students on the erg machines; baseball coaches will teach and instruct students on hand-eye coordination techniques; track & field/cross country coaches will implement a cardiovascular conditioning regimen for students to complete during the class period; etc.)
- Communicates material to students in a clear manner, responds to student questions, provides opportunities for students to implement and test the skill sets they learn to ensure optimum learning
- Provides supervision of students; addresses issues of concern and any type of behavior that does not align with school expectations
- Keeps Supervisor/Division Office advised of all classroom and student developments, including academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns for students;
- Drives bus as needed (CDL holders)
- Coaches or assists with a minimum of one sport (for a stipend)
- Markets and promotes all athletic teams/programs at Pine Crest
- Supports the philosophy of the Athletic Department
- Chaperones and supervises students at school functions and class trips, including overnight trips
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Supervisor or their designee
Education
