Description
Under the direction of the Director of Medical Staff Performance Improvement, this position provides support of the Performance Improvement processes of Medical Staff departments, committees and chairmen. The position is responsible for analysis of data through utilization of the various databases. Conducts special projects as assigned. These duties are performed according to department and medical center policy.

Compensation Range
$31.84 - $49.66 / Hour

Core Competencies
- Supports and records performance improvement process for assigned departments and committees.
- Prepares and manages all correspondence and follow-up work generated by assigned medical staff departments and committees.
- Prepares temporary privileges according to procedure for assigned departments.
- Attends Medical Staff Department meetings, participates in Performance Improvement Activities and education as assigned.
- Assists with orientation and training of new employees and volunteers as assigned.
- Assists with the AHP portion of the OPPE process.
- Utilizes appropriate and effective communication and problem solving skills in all interpersonal interactions.
- Reviews quality databases and identifies trends.
- Follows Medical Center and department safety procedures, keeping supervisor informed of unusual situations, security and safety or health hazards.
- Prepares effective reports of quality related information to enhance overall communication of quality related information and finding.
- Refers cases identified through the screening process.
- Reviews incident reports for complaints and refers as appropriate.
- Assesses Core Measure log for assignment of cases to go for review.
- Assesses peer review by individual physicians as needed to identify trends.
