Job Description

NBC News Group Commerce is seeking a creative and experienced producer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing brand and stock photoshoots for all commerce needs from start to finish. The ideal candidate should have experience producing photoshoots at large scales, negotiating legal contracts and managing a budget. Photo editing and design skills are a nice-to-have, but not necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with Art Director for all visual asset production and management. Manages photoshoot schedule and budget. Builds and maintains relationships with talent and location partners. Delegates production responsibilities to team Media Coordinator and ensures they are fulfilled in a timely manner. Work with internal legal department on contracts and negotiates pricing with vendors. Attends photo shoots and ensures they run smoothly and on schedule alongside Art Director. Scouts shoot locations with the help of team Media Coordinator.

Please Note: This is classified as a PEP Regular role and is a project/limited term position expected to last 4 to 6 months unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

PEP Regular

  • Works more than 1,000 hours per measurement period: 
  • Eligible for 401K after 1,000 hours worked in 12 consecutive months 
  • Eligible for Health and Welfare benefits on 1st day of employment 
  • Eligible to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Program after 90 days of employment 

Salary range: $73,000-$83,000

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Photography or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Producer for large editorial brands or companies
  • Portfolio demonstrating creativity and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams and negotiate prices with vendors
  • Can-do attitude in the face of obstacles
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge or interest in graphic design, photography, production and photo editing
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Photo editing, photo illustration and design skills are nice to have
  • Comfortable using a CMS and Online Data Asset Management system is a plus
