Position Summary

Senior PeopleSoft DBA and System Administrator to lead a Linux OS Upgrade project. Experience with Oracle Enterprise Linux 7.x to 8.x; out-of-box place upgrade is required. You must have hands-on experience with similar Linux upgrades or installations along with PS DBA skills to be considered.

Consultant will be responsible for upgrading the Hyperion system from 11.1.2.4.700 to Hyperion On-Premise 11.2.4. The position is responsible for implementing the new version as a new install – including Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Foundation Services, and Financial reports. This upgrade will take place for two different environments (Production and Test).

The successful candidate must be a self-starter able to dive in, resolve ambiguity, and achieve results. The candidate must also have a high attention to detail with proven success in working with multiple stakeholders, and managing and meeting deadlines.

The project scope also includes migration of applications and all associated components, such as metadata, data, security, business objects, etc. The migration will include 13 BSO applications and 18 ASO cubes. Due to 11.2.x application structure, the expectation would be to convert the ASO cubes from Essbase stand alone to planning ASO. The Public Sector Planning and Budgeting (PSPB) cube is utilized and will need to have all components migrated as well as 11.2.4 now supports PSPB. The expectation is that all of the business rules associated with PSPB function as they do it current environment.

Skills And Knowledge Necessary For This Position

Assess the impact of Hyperion updates and provide proposals for applying them effectively.

Knowledge and experience configuring Essbase application components, business rules and calc scripts and calc script customizations.

Knowledge and Experience using Outline Load Utility

Experience with ticketing systems such as Cherwell

Commitment to quality and accuracy in project deliverables

Team Player Who Works Well With Others

Analytical and problem-solving ability

Work with users and IT members on a routine basis to troubleshoot reported problems pertaining to application software. Identify the cause, design or develop an approach for resolution. Upon approval, implement the correction/customize software.

We Can Get You an Interview for This Position If You Have:

Over 7+ years of technical Information Technology experience

Five (5+) years extensive experience in Hyperion implementations and/or upgrades.

Knowledge and experience working with Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Planning or Public Sector Planning and Budgeting application 11.1.2.x or higher.

Knowledge and experience performing Hyperion installations.

Knowledge and experience with SmartView, Data forms, and Web Forms; and developing reports with Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio.

Expert in use of Life Cycle Management (LCM).

Knowledge and experience with Hyperion Security.

Must have strong organization and communication (written and oral) skills and the ability to manage time and multiple tasks with minimal direct management.

Self-motivated, innovative person with analytical, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to changes and new ideas.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects.

Self-motivated, directed and passionate.

Ability to work well with people in all levels of the organization and handle a fast paced, dynamic environment where competing interests and working multiple priorities is the norm.
