The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic People Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our human resources function, ensuring that our operations align with our strategic objectives and promote a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and excellence. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping and growing the workforce that drives our mission forward.

Salary: This is an exempt role with an annual salary range of $95,000 - $105,000, depending on experience.

Location: Remote (US), New York, California, Pennsylvania preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that are in harmony with NationSwell's overall business strategy and mission
  • Act as a bridge between management and employees by addressing demands and grievances and fostering a supportive and communicative environment
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract, hire, and retain top talent dedicated to making an impact
  • Nurture a positive working environment that champions innovation, teamwork, and mission-driven work
  • Oversee a performance management system that drives high performance and recognizes contributions
  • Maintain our pay plan and benefits program to ensure they support our values and attract top talent
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, safeguarding our ethical standards and operational integrity


Requirements

  • Proven working experience as an HR professional, with a track record of fostering inclusive and high-performing cultures, ideally within a start-up environment
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases, with the ability to leverage technology to streamline operations
  • Experience leading equitable hiring processes, coaching hiring managers, and sourcing talent
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and the ability to use data to inform decisions
  • People-oriented and results-driven, with a passion for social impact and community development
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of architecting and implementing effective HR strategies
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices, ensuring we operate within legal and ethical frameworks
