Job Title: Pentaho Developer

Location: Remote

Responsibilities

We are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Design, develop, and deploy Pentaho data integration solutions tailored to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and understand data integration and reporting requirements.
  • Create and manage ETL processes for seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Optimize data models and data warehousing solutions to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Customize reports and dashboards using Pentaho Reporting and Dashboard Designer.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis and resolve any issues to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitor and fine-tune the performance of Pentaho solutions for optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with other developers and IT teams to integrate Pentaho solutions with existing systems.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support and training to end-users on Pentaho tools and solutions.
  • Document all phases of design, development, and maintenance processes for reference and future enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Pentaho Developer or in a similar capacity.
  • Proficient in Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle), Pentaho Reporting, and Pentaho Dashboard Designer.
  • Sound grasp of ETL processes and familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles.
  • Track record in optimizing Pentaho solutions for peak performance.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to effectively prioritize tasks.
