Job Title: Pension Fund Manager

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Pension Fund Manager to oversee the management and administration of our company's pension funds. The Pension Fund Manager will be responsible for ensuring the long-term financial health and stability of the pension fund by implementing effective investment strategies, managing risks, and complying with regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of investment principles, portfolio management, and pension fund regulations.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute investment strategies and asset allocation plans for the pension fund, taking into account risk tolerance, liquidity needs, and return objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate investment performance, making adjustments to the portfolio as needed to achieve target returns while managing risk.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of financial markets, economic trends, and investment opportunities to inform investment decisions.
  • Manage relationships with external investment managers, custodians, and other service providers to ensure effective implementation of investment strategies and adherence to fund policies.
  • Prepare and present investment reports, performance analyses, and recommendations to senior management and the board of trustees.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including reporting obligations and fiduciary responsibilities related to pension fund management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as actuaries, legal counsel, and finance teams to support pension fund administration and governance.
  • Monitor pension fund liabilities and funding levels, providing insights into funding adequacy and potential risks.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, regulatory changes, and market developments that may impact pension fund management.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or CFA designation preferred).
  • Proven experience in pension fund management, asset management, or investment management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and portfolio management principles.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to perform detailed financial analysis and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement investment strategies that align with pension fund objectives.
  • Familiarity with pension fund regulations, fiduciary responsibilities, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, investment analysis tools, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
