Payroll Coordinator

Gulfstream Staffing has partnered with a well-established healthcare organization experiencing a rapid growth phase. We are currently seeking candidates for a full-time Payroll Coordinator in New York, NY. The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for compiling payroll data, such as hours worked, benefit time taken, unpaid hours, and retroactive payments to be withheld from time sheets and other records.

Position: Payroll Coordinator

Location: New York, NY

Payroll Coordinator Duties:

  • Prepares computer input forms and enters data into the payroll service bureau's computer files
  • Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure the accuracy of payroll.
  • Satisfies union reporting requirements including pension, annuity, health insurance, and union dues reports.
  • Prepares payroll journal entries.
Payroll Coordinator Qualifications:
  • BA/BBA in Accounting/Finance preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in finance required.
  • Demonstrated experience with an automated time and attendance system, and processing payroll preferred.
