Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and benefits management for our employees.


This is full-time Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm in Aventura, FL, with additional hours/times as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end, semi-monthly payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Verify timesheets, wages, deductions, and other payroll-related data
  • Handle payroll discrepancies, adjustments, and corrections as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and claims processing.
  • Coordinate with benefits providers to resolve issues and ensure smooth administration of benefits.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations.
  • Prepare and file required government reports related to payroll and benefits.
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll and benefits.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of employee payroll and benefits information.


Qualifications

  • +3 years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Strong understanding of payroll and benefits regulations and best practices
  • Proficiency in payroll software, ADP, and Netsuite
  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing
  • Familiarity with FMLA, COBRA, and other relevant labor laws
