PAYROLL
Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees; including reviewing and importing hours from the time and attendance system, entering tax and direct deposit information, administering regulatory requirements such as garnishments, tax levies, and support orders, and other adjustments to pay as necessary,
Calculates and processes commissions, bonuses, stipends, and other additional compensation.
Administer the time and attendance policy and paid leave policy for all employees.
Evaluate and implement payroll best practices, including systems evaluation and upgrades.
Produce scheduled and ad-hoc reports pertaining to payroll and people team requirements,
Set up new state taxes, worker's compensation, disability insurance, and other compliance items in the payroll system as the company expands to new territories,
The main point of contact for payroll questions for all employees.
Review and reconcile all auto-posted payroll general ledger accounts on a monthly basis; prepare to adjust journal entries as needed
Prepare payroll reconciliation on a quarterly basis to ensure accuracy. This includes compiling a summary of earnings, taxes, deductions, etc. as well as net payroll account
Respond to inquiries regarding payroll variances for monthly financial reporting
Prepare monthly census for Short-Term Disability - EE count by gender / gross payroll amount
Create, Schedule and Distribute Reports as requested
Identify various Workers' Compensation categories (vary between different plans) and assign against various roles by employee
BENEFITS
Administer all employee benefit programs including enrollments and terminations.
Ensure that all benefit deductions are accurately entered in payroll. Including medical, dental, and vision plans, as well as Flexible Spending Accounts.
Coordinate and conduct benefit onboarding sessions for new employees after 90 days of employment.
With help of the Senior Manager People Experience and Total Compensation, plans and administers the annual open enrollment period. This includes preparation, revision, and distribution of materials, conducting meetings to communicate changes to employees, arranging for on-site representation by providers, and processing changes within deadlines.
Creates and updates the Employee Annual Benefit Guide, Plans, conducts, and reports results of audits to ensure all benefit enrollments are accurate and that dependent information is correct for each employee.
Administers the company's 401K program, enrolling new employees and ensuring that information is accurate in the vendor's system.
Addresses benefit inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolutions. Maintains contact with employees and beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of the benefits package.
Processes monthly billings from providers. Reviews billings for accuracy and approves payment in a timely manner. Resolves discrepancies with carriers and payroll.
Administer COBRA enrollments/changes, disability claims, paid leave requests and workers' compensation cases.
Prepare monthly allocation schedule for ER 401k Match
Prepare monthly allocation schedule for Medical and Dental Insurance
Annual 401k audit assistance - includes pulling and providing employee documentation as well as Payroll and 401k reporting as requested by auditors
Other duties assigned by the Manager.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
A minimum of three years of experience working in Payroll / Benefits administration
Experience with Processing Payroll, Benefits Administration and Report creation in ADP Workforce Now
Proven ability to navigate challenging situations
Proven project management, relationship building, collaboration, and written/verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage data for compliance reporting
Experience working in excel and google suite to manage and present data for reporting and strategic initiatives
Proven research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proven flexibility and adaptability to succeed in a fast-paced business environment.
This in-person position may require on-site presence at facilities with occasional requests to work nights and on weekends.
