Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist

Join NSG, Inc., a leading family-owned commercial building services company in Cincinnati since 1988. We're seeking a detail-oriented Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure accurate and timely processing, payment of payroll, accounts payable, tax filings, and report generation in alignment with company policies.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

• Prioritize and schedule payroll and accounts payable processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Process payroll and accounts payable transactions with precision and efficiency.
• Audit daily time and schedules to verify employee attendance and schedule adherence.
• File employee withholding and workers' compensation taxes for various governmental entities.
• Maintain meticulous payroll and accounts payable records, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
• Develop and generate necessary payroll and management reports promptly and accurately.
• Serve as a technical resource to HR and other departments, providing insightful analysis and resolving inquiries.
• Complete required documentation and paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Uphold departmental cleanliness standards and ensure adherence to company quality guidelines.
• Undertake special projects as assigned to support company initiatives.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry updates to maintain technical proficiency.
  
  

Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret payroll information and tax regulations.
• Proficient in report preparation and business correspondence.
• Strong communication skills with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Proficiency in numerical calculations, including percentages and volumes.
• Ability to follow instructions and solve problems effectively.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  
  

Education

• High school diploma required.
• Continuing education in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  
  

Related Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Accounting function.

Salary: $50000 - $55000 per year
