Your role will involve managing payment transactions, resolving payment issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of payment processing, including incoming and outgoing transactions.
- Monitor payment systems and platforms to ensure efficient and accurate processing of payments.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, disputes, and chargebacks in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams, financial institutions, and payment service providers to streamline payment workflows.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliation of payment records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Stay updated with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in payment processing.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, security, and cost-effectiveness of payment operations.
- Provide support and guidance to internal stakeholders and customers on payment-related inquiries and issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., AAP, NCP) may be advantageous.
- Proven experience (X years) in payments processing, financial operations, or a related role within the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of payment systems, methods, and regulations (e.g., ACH, wire transfers, card payments, PSD2).
- Familiarity with payment processing platforms and software (e.g., SWIFT, PayPal, Stripe).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
