Payments Business analyst

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to payments processing.

Conduct thorough research and analysis of industry trends, customer behavior, and regulatory requirements impacting payment systems.

Develop detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, process flows, and other relevant documentation.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and operations to ensure alignment and successful delivery of payment solutions.

Participate in solution design sessions, providing insights and recommendations based on business needs and industry best practices.

Support testing activities, including test case development, execution, and defect management.

Provide ongoing support and expertise during implementation and post-implementation phases, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement of payment processes.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and innovations in the payments landscape to drive strategic initiatives and enhance the customer payment experience.

Requirements

Proven experience as a business analyst in the payments domain, preferably within the financial services or fintech industry.

Strong understanding of payment systems, including card payments, ACH, wire transfers, and emerging payment methods.

Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.

Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools for requirements management and project tracking.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
