Payment Posting Specialist

About The Role

The Payment Posting Specialist is responsible for posting payments, reviewing adjustments, reviewing denials and filing appeals in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Responsible for posting insurance company and personal payments in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
• Monitors and reviews adjustments for accuracy and reviews denials to ensure all appeals are filed in a timely, complete and accurate manner.
• Analyzes trends impacting payments and denials and takes appropriate action to communicate findings to Supervisor.
• Answer phones as needed.
• Maintains all patient information according to the established patient confidentiality policy.
• Maintains compliance with all governmental and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for completing, in a timely manner, all mandated training and in-services, including but not limited to annual OSHA training and PPD placements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
  
  

What We Expect From You

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience
  
  

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.
