Payment Posting Specialist

In this position you will have a vital role in posting insurance EOBs, ERAs, and all daily lockbox deposits. Being analytical is important as daily, weekly and monthly cash reconciliation is needed.

What You'll Do

• Maintain timely posting of payments and cash reconciliation daily
• Audit payment history to review for accuracy
• Ensure daily/weekly and monthly productivity goals are met
• Call insurance companies for Missing Explanation of Benefits
• Track down missing payments from insurance companies to be reprocessed
• Send updated W9’s for payment processing
• Provide exceptional friendliness, empathy and thorough customer service
• Own and drive the research of inaccurate payments
• Proactively work with partner billing teams
• Review work and monitor credit balances
  
  

About You

• 2 - 3+ years of medical billing/payment posting experience
• Familiar with Apple products, Google Suite apps and strong working knowledge of Excel
• Ability to remain focused and calm during stressful situations
• Ability to hit productivity and KPI goals
• Team Player
• In depth knowledge of how health insurance works
• Clear understanding of ERAs, EOBs, EFTs and lockbox functions
• Enjoys numbers, data, research and spreadsheets
• Ability to speak clearly and professionally
