Job Summary
The Patient Service Representative - Orthopaedics is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors in the orthopaedics department. This position will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and providing general information about the department.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
Schedule appointments for patients using the electronic medical record system
Answer phones and provide general information about the orthopaedics department
Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments as necessary
Assist with patient registration and check-in process
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
