Midi Health is expert healthcare delivered with compassion to women age 40+, specializing in holistically treating menopause and perimenopause. We embrace lifestyle interventions, prescriptions and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as well as naturopathic solutions. We use telehealth and team-based care to bring women the care they deserve. Committed to access for as many women as possible, we take most insurances (and also offer reasonable cash pay pricing for those that are without insurance).

Position Summary

The Patient Care Representative acts as a liaison between patients, the practice and the healthcare system.The Patient Care Representative ensures that patients receive the care they need, provides support for new patient registration, assists them in navigating the healthcare system, and bridges other communications gaps. The Patient Care Representative also helps resolve billing issues, addresses patient complaints.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Representative is responsible for being the face of Midi to the patient, and is often the first experience patients have with Midi.

  • Serves as the first point of contact for patients
  • Assists patients with: verifying information, scheduling appointments, and updating Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Facilitates intake procedures such as completion of healthcare and insurance forms and collecting payments for services
  • Gains confidence from the patient through competent job performance and effective communication
  • Adheres to all organizational, local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering the optimal patient experience
  • Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with conflicting priorities
  • Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
  • Ensure the privacy of each patient’s Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Build collaborative relationships with peers and other staff members to achieve departmental and corporate objectives

Work Hours

Start Time: 8AM PST

End Time: 4:30PM PST

  • 30 minute unpaid lunch

Qualifications

  • 5 years providing a high touch patient experience
  • 2 years Zendesk experience
  • 2 years Athenahealth EMR experience
  • 2 years Google Workplace experience (required)
  • Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have strong, reliable internet and quiet, distraction-free workplace
