Chest Medicine Associates is seeking multiple Patient Scheduling Representatives, to be based in the South Portland office.

Patient Scheduling Representative
South Portland, Maine
Chest Medicine Associates is seeking multiple Patient Scheduling Representatives, to be based in the South Portland office.
Requirements of the Patient Scheduling Representative:
- High school diploma. Associate’s degree preferred
- Previous medical experience in an office-based setting required
- Understanding of medical terminology is required
- Experience with referrals processing preferred
- Experience using electronic medical records and proficient computer skills are required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Reliable, motivated, team player
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work onsite in South Portland, Maine

- Responsible for check-out, appointment scheduling, answering phones in the scheduling queue and other responsibilities as needed
- Responsible for coordinating outside referrals to other facilities
- Acquire knowledge of inter-office responsibilities to better serve the patient
- Maintains strict confidentiality
- Presents a polite, professional, and courteous manner to the patients at all times and be willing to meet the patient’s needs
- Participate in compliance of OSHA/HIPPA/OIG regulations
