Chest Medicine Associates is seeking multiple Patient Scheduling Representatives, to be based in the South Portland office.

Requirements of the Patient Scheduling Representative:

• High school diploma. Associate’s degree preferred
• Previous medical experience in an office-based setting required
• Understanding of medical terminology is required
• Experience with referrals processing preferred
• Experience using electronic medical records and proficient computer skills are required.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Reliable, motivated, team player
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work onsite in South Portland, Maine

Responsibilities of the Patient Scheduling Representative:

• Responsible for check-out, appointment scheduling, answering phones in the scheduling queue and other responsibilities as needed
• Responsible for coordinating outside referrals to other facilities
• Acquire knowledge of inter-office responsibilities to better serve the patient
• Maintains strict confidentiality
• Presents a polite, professional, and courteous manner to the patients at all times and be willing to meet the patient’s needs
• Participate in compliance of OSHA/HIPPA/OIG regulations
