You'll analyze event reports to identify risk reduction opportunities, classify safety events, and prepare comprehensive reports.
You'll also support safety event investigations, assist with the safety program, coach colleagues in patient safety, and manage data entry and reporting tasks. This is a two-month contract assignment.

Responsibilities
Conducts thorough review and analysis of event reports and other data to identify trends and opportunities for risk reduction and performance improvement across the organization.
Differentiates between preventable and non-preventable outcomes through safety event classification and prepares comprehensive reports on risk and patient safety trends.
Assists in monitoring and tracking action plans associated with cause analysis activities, including root cause analysis.
Provides support during safety event investigations and operational assistance for the safety program and other departmental initiatives.
Coaches colleagues in patient safety concepts and skills throughout the organization.Produces and assists in the production of committee meeting minutes, reports, educational content, and dashboards, and ensures accurate data entry into the department's software systems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, healthcare-related field preferred
Minimum 3 years of recent relevant experience in the acute care setting professional or equivalent combination of education and experience
3 years minimum experience in risk management/quality in the healthcare setting
Knowledge of medico-legal matters, risk management/patient safety programs
Ability to do report writing, meeting minutes, and update/change/make project plans.Able to be flexible regarding work schedule
Ability to work fully on-site
This is a two-month contract assignment.
