Position Overview
This position is responsible for managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, collecting patient insurance eligibility and prior referrals needed for all scheduled appointments. In addition, the Patient Relations Coordinator collects patient co-pays required for their visits. This role interfaces with providers and all other departments in the organization.
Essential Job Functions
Provide professional telephone services; schedule patients and send appointment reminders
Assist patients with paperwork and enter information into Electronic Medical Records system
Obtain medical records
Track and update physician schedules
Perform office receptionist duties, including maintaining waiting rooms and preparing refreshments
Requirements
Required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
Provide professional telephone services; schedule patients and send appointment reminders
