Job Summary

Patient Account Coordinator (PAC) will facilitate a liaison relationship with AOTI customer to assist with TWO2 therapy placement and ongoing services for TWO2 therapy treatment and Medicaid reimbursement. The PAC will have critical relationships with sales field team members in addition to corporate operations teams.


General Accountabilities

Ensure timely processing of required paperwork to prevent delays in patient fitting, billing, and recovery of products.

Obtain all necessary insurance documents for TWO2 therapy placement and ongoing therapy.

  • Conduct daily touch points with central operations teams to ensure all necessary paperwork is being obtained to address TWO2 therapy placement or appeal.
  • Point of contact for all e-commerce demonstrations, enrollments and submissions.
  • Understand, communicate, and train hospital and office staff on AOTI’s medical documentation process.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Wound Clinics and Physician Offices to understand the needs of the territory and areas where access can be integrated.
  • Develop and execute strategies and tactical plans to increase the utilization of electronic ordering and other initiatives to drive seamless first-time order submissions.
  • Expected to manage multiple accounts for support in addition to handling complaints and queries professionally.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures, particularly HIPAA.


Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Currently licensed LVN/LPN preferred.
  • 1 year of wound care experience; will need to verify this experience and knowledge.
  • 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Insurance (Commercial and Government) Reimbursement and Billing Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • A general understanding of medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Attention to detail and process-oriented thinking.
  • The ability to work independently and multitask.


Working Conditions

This job is a remote field-based position. Employee will be responsible for working daily in hospitals, doctors’ offices and other medical establishments within the assigned territory. Approximately 75% within a defined geography in North New York and New Jersey. Occasionally may be required to work atypical hours (evenings and weekends) based on business needs. Though remote, the candidate must live in the NY/North NJ area- includes: Nassau, Newark, Paterson, Morristown, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, or Union counties


Competencies

  • Wound care terminology and clinical knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Work Environment

Possible risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment usually is speaking level.

May be required to wear medical grade mask at the discretion of medical offices and hospitals.
