Patient Access Specialist

Description

We are adding to our team and need two Patient Access Specialists to join us in meeting our Mission.

A Patient Access Specialist is a healthcare professional that is responsible for facilitating the registration and admission process for the kids we serve. Their main areas of focus are financial clearance, pre-access, and scheduling to ensure a success admission. This position will partner closely with clients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to ensure that financial arrangements are in place, and appropriate scheduling and timely access to care occur.

This position will be Monday through Friday, 2pm to 10pm. This position starts at $21.38/hr with comprehensive benefits including paid medical and vision insurance, a 6% 403b employer paid contribution, tuition reimbursement, student loan assistance, and much more.

Requirements

You'll be set up for success if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent required and one (1) year experience in a customer service focus position required.
• Experience in a mental health or crisis intervention setting.
• Experience with Utilization Review preferred.
• Previous work experience in registration, financial clearance, or patient financial services with strong working knowledge of healthcare insurance and benefit programs.
• Hold knowledge and understanding of medical terminology and medical coding preferred.
