Patient Access Rep/Medical Assistant

This is a dual role of Medical Assistant and Patient Access Representative. The ideal candidate would have experience in both front and back office duties. We are willing to train the right person to be a Medical Assistant.

The MA/PAR is responsible for performing basic clinical duties, routine patient care, and standard clerical duties to support medical providers in the care and treatment of patients. The MA/PAR will build and sustain positive, productive relationships that support the clinic and the patient. They will escort patients to pre-operative areas, take and record vital signs and ask patient questions regarding symptoms, concerns, and medical history.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • BLS certification preferred
  • Experience with GI or Pain Management preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Knowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures
